Initialize standalone firmware
If you are booting up your Ruckus AP for the first time, you may need to go through initialization step.
If you have already done initialization step, you can skip this section.
Step 1: Plug in the AP into your wired network and power it on
Step 2: Log into the AP admin menu
Type in IP address of the AP into the browser i.e. https://[ip address] e.g. https://192.168.1.10
Step 3: Log in
The default user name and password are as below.
- Username: super
- Password: sp-admin
Step 4: Set temporary password
The system immediately asks you to change and set new password. This is temporary password and you will be only using once right after this step. So pick easy one that you can remember for next 30 seconds.
Then hit submit.
Step 5: Log in with new password
Now you can login by using the new password you have just set.
