This is a clear WiFi 6 version of Beacon HD ($129).
All the latest UniFi APs can act as mesh node i.e. wirelessly link to other UniFi AP (ref). So the primary advantage of Beacon HD compared to using other AP in wireless link mode is two folds. One is the price. Although no price has yet been revealed, I speculate it will be $149 for U6-Extender because Flex HD to U6-Mesh have $20 difference in price. The second advantage of Beacon HD/U6-Extender may be convenient wall plug form factor. Unlike other APs, there is no dangling power cord required.
